Laborer - Columbia in Maury County

Turner Construction is seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team in Maury County. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for performing physical labor tasks at construction projects, assisting other craft workers, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform physical labor tasks, including site clean-up, rough carpentry, and construction waste management
Assist other craft workers in their trades and perform other duties as necessary
Follow written safety instructions from tool and equipment manufacturers
Review jobsite needs with superintendents and foremen
Participate in activities of subcontractors and suppliers
Review project perimeter for security and cleanliness daily
Perform fire watch duties as needed
Construct scaffolding as needed
Manage dumpster vendor schedule and maintain dumpster areas for cleanliness and organization
Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators
Assist with overall site safety and quality programs as required
Requirements:
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair of buildings and other structures
Ability to comprehend safety instructions and signage, communicate effectively in emergency situations, and understand written safety instructions from tool and equipment manufacturers
Clear verbal communication skills, active listening skills, and ability to ask clarifying questions and follow through on assignments
Ability to travel and accommodate night and weekend work as needed
Valid Driver's License preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electric shock. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
