Overview:
The Allentown facility is a state-of-the-art aseptic bottling and packaging operation integrated with a comprehensive beverage distribution center. This site operates under the core principles of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and the effectiveness of High Performance Teams. Each team member at this facility is assigned specific responsibilities that contribute to overall operational excellence.
Shift: 1st Shift; flexibility to support night shifts as needed.
Compensation: This is a salaried, exempt position with biweekly pay. Compensation is competitive and determined by the candidate's experience level.
Role Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor will play a crucial role in delivering maintenance and technical support at a cutting-edge aseptic manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and mechanical/electrical systems, including motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, filling and packaging machinery, HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, and blending systems. Collaborate with site leadership to establish processes that uphold high standards of safety, quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a safety advocate, encouraging team members to prioritize personal safety and maintain a secure working environment. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations.
- Assist in setting and achieving objectives that align with Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) goals through strategic implementation and accountability.
- Develop and manage programs for the operation and repair of production and support equipment to meet company safety and quality benchmarks.
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to enhance plant-wide operations.
- Support site goals by overseeing prompt preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Supervise team members, including hiring, training, task assignment, performance evaluations, and coaching to cultivate a skilled workforce focused on collaboration and problem-solving.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards among staff and contractors. Promote the 5-S methodology and support TPM initiatives across the site.
- Assist in managing the annual maintenance budget, including expenditures and spare parts inventory. Contribute to capital planning and process improvements to reduce costs and boost productivity.
- Facilitate the integration of new technologies into maintenance practices.
- Oversee work order execution and parts management processes.
- Implement Lean Daily Management (LDM) within the maintenance department by identifying key performance metrics and reporting findings to support operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
