Job Title: Forensic Case Manager

COMHAR, Inc. is a not-for-profit community-based health and human service organization founded in 1975. We are seeking a full-time Forensic Case Manager to join our team at our new Outpatient Restoration Long Term Structured Residence (ORLTSR) in Easton, PA.

Job Summary:

The Forensic Case Manager will work from a recovery framework to provide care management services, therapeutic interventions, cultural competence, and trauma-informed care to help individuals obtain their recovery goals. The successful candidate will coordinate all services and follow up related to Northampton County competency hearings and mental health court hearings and communications.

Responsibilities:
  • Acquisition and coordination of all services required by residents to attain treatment goals
  • Supervision of resident fund management
  • Engagement in resident advocacy with internal and external programs and agencies
  • Collaboration with the Director and Assistant Director in relation to all admission screenings and negotiations regarding referrals, transfers, and discharges
  • Ensure that all required documentation is completed efficiently and thoroughly maintaining compliance with all internal and external requirements and regulations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mental health, social work, or related field
  • One year mental health and forensic experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Works well in a collaborative environment; having the ability to use creativity with problem-solving and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of the behavioral health system
  • Strong computer skills are required
