Key Responsibilities- Equipment Installation and Repair: Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
- Emergency Repairs: Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Preventative Maintenance: Responsible for Preventative Maintenance (PM) of equipment, fix Turing, racks, and tooling on a daily or scheduled basis.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot, diagnose symptoms, and effect repairs of manufacturing and facility equipment.
- Facility Knowledge: Responsible for working knowledge of plant facilities and equipment.
- Communication: Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Advise operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with mechanical equipment and components.
- Problem Identification: Inform appropriate management and line mechanics of potential mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor such as general maintenance duties, assisting in installation of new equipment, demo of old processes/equipment, facility repairs, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
- Work Environment: Maintain clean and orderly work areas and comply with safety regulations to help ensure a safe working environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance improvements and schedules.
- Special Projects: Perform special projects as may be required and maintain on-the-job flexibility by providing support in maintenance and in other production-related areas.
- Compliance Culture: Promote a compliance culture in the area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: 3+ years of previous experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of heavy-duty diesel engine manufacturing and Rolls Royce Solutions America products, policies, and procedures.
- Skill: Intermediate knowledge in skills including welding, pipe fitting, lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, carpentry, use of tool room machine, and repair of production machines.
- Problem-Solving: Intermediate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills where problems are complex.
- Personal Skills: Intermediate personal skills and the ability to work effectively with other employees.
- OSHA Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and the ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of manufacturing and production processes, raw materials, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Intermediate ability to interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, or other visual aids.
- Communication: Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft and PC Office Suite.
