Job Summary

St. John's Riverside Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Department Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Radiology Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality patient care and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of radiologic technologists, nuclear medicine technologists, and other department staff.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
  • Provide training and coaching to new staff members and ensure ongoing professional development.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nuclear and/or radiologic technology.
  • Minimum of four years' experience as a nuclear and/or radiologic technologist.
  • Licensed in the New York State in nuclear and/or radiologic technology.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of computerized radiography (CR), digital radiography (DDR), and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS).
