About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and caring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team at Essex Meadows. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care for the overall resident personal hygiene and ADL (activities of daily living) functioning.
  • Provide compassionate care while encouraging residents to their maximum level of independence under the direction of nursing supervisors.
  • Encourage participation in facility functions and transport, transfer, escort, supervise, and/or lend assistance as necessary.
  • Maintain resident environment in a clean, orderly condition and report any needed repair or cleaning.
  • Answer signal lights promptly and chart care performed using electronic medical records.
  • Report all assessments or observations of changes in resident condition in an accurate, timely manner and document appropriately.
  • Maintain residents' safety and residents' rights and perform duties in accordance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and as instructed by supervisors and the Director of Nursing Services.
  • Attend in-service training, educational seminars, and staff meetings as needed to stay abreast of current nursing changes and new policies as required by the department.
Requirements
  • Current CT Certified Nurse Aide certification.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor.
  • Ability to work well in teams.
