Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and evaluate the workload of team members based on task complexity and employee capabilities.
- Coordinate administrative operations, including correspondence, directives, awards, message processing, and training documentation.
- Facilitate support services through assigned personnel across various departments such as Administration, Student Control, Operations, and Training.
- Manage all active-duty Navy pay and personnel actions for uniformed staff.
- Generate weekly reports and conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance of travel documents.
- Conduct interviews for subordinate roles and recommend appointments, promotions, and reassignments.
- Address and resolve employee grievances while implementing appropriate disciplinary actions.
- Provide comprehensive support for travel functions, Personnel Security, Military Personnel and Pay actions, Government Travel Credit Card, Supply Support, and general aviation administration to enhance the training mission.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be deemed suitable for federal employment.
- Participation in the direct deposit pay program is mandatory.
- New hires will be required to successfully complete the E-Verify employment verification process.
- Retired military members must adhere to specific provisions regarding civilian employment.
- Males born after a certain date must be registered for Selective Service.
- A valid U.S. driver's license is required.
- Must obtain and maintain a security clearance prior to starting the position.
- This role may require working unconventional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Supervisors are expected to uphold government ethics and review the General Principles of Ethical Conduct.
Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in federal service or equivalent experience in other sectors. Specialized experience should include evaluating administrative programs by analyzing personnel needs and training requirements to optimize daily workload and enhance the efficiency of administrative support.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, candidates may qualify through the following educational achievements:
Completion of a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in relevant fields.
OR
Completion of two years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education that equates to one year of experience (transcripts must be submitted if qualifying through education).
