The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer to join our growing R&D and Product Engineering team. The ideal candidate will work in a talented team to build OPSWAT's famous Endpoint Security SDK. You will have a strong software engineering background and the right personality to work with a distributed team.

This is an onsite position based in our global corporate office. We offer a centrally located and easy commute from anywhere in the bay area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and test the MetaDefender Endpoint Security SDK using various programming languages in a Windows, macOS, and Linux environment.
  • Provide inputs for documentation of new or existing programs.
  • Partner with Scrum team members on delivering Sprint commitments.
  • Collaborate with Product Management on product requirements.
  • Participate in receiving and giving peer code reviews.

Requirements

  • Experience with various programming languages.
  • Passionate about building leading technology.
  • Solid programming skills in C++, with more than 2 years of experience.
  • Desire to learn and grow.
  • Windows development experience.
  • Excellent object-oriented design & programming skills in multi-threaded applications.
  • Good coding and debugging skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and have a proven ability to work well in a fast-paced team.
  • Able to work with cross-functional teams in another country.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with microservice structures and REST APIs.
  • Experience with Git, BitBucket, Jira, Confluence, TeamCity.
  • Reasonable understanding of OWASP Top 10, application vulnerabilities and exploitations.
  • Experience with collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience with an Agile/Scrum working environment.
