Theatre Technician

Job Summary:

The Oak View Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Theatre Technician to join our team. As a Theatre Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our events, from setup to teardown.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload equipment and materials from the loading dock
• Set up and operate lighting, sound, and video equipment
• Assist with the movement and rearrangement of furniture and props
• Clean and maintain the stage and backstage areas
• Report to the lead technician upon arrival to work for an event
• Perform other duties as assigned by the lead technician

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Prior customer service experience preferred
• Access to reliable transportation
• Knowledge and experience in proper handling of theatrical tools and equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Working Conditions:

The Theatre Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines. The position requires the ability to lift and carry heavy loads, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in a variety of settings, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
