We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mansion Steward to join our team at Rosewood Hotel Group. As a key member of our dishroom team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in our kitchen and dining areas.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and maintain a clean and organized dishroom, ensuring all equipment and supplies are in good working order.
- Retrieve and wash soiled wares, and transport supplies and food to service areas.
- Assist the kitchen team with plating up of banquet meals, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Use correct cleaning chemicals and equipment to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Sort, stack, and store cleaned wares in designated areas, and handle all wares carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
- Change dishwashing machine water and filters as specified, and monitor usage of dishwashing machine and chemicals to maximize consumption of water and chemicals.
- Break down and clean dishwashing machine and work areas, and maintain cleanliness and organization of supply/storage closets.
- Transport garbage containers from kitchen and work areas to dumpster, and adhere to recycling regulations.
- Fill burnishing machine with specified amounts of water and designated chemicals, and follow schedule to burnish and paste polish specified silver wares.
- Previous experience in a similar position is required.
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow up.
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
- Ability to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, and lift up to 50 to 75 pounds.
