The Sechler Law Firm, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Associate Attorney to join their team in the Estate Planning department.
Job Summary:We are looking for a talented and experienced Associate Attorney to manage the entirety of a client's proceedings, including interacting with customers, giving deep explanations of the law, preparing and analyzing paperwork, constructing trust provisions, and taking part in sales conferences.
Responsibilities:- Drafting and Reviewing Estate Plan Documents: Responsible for drafting and reviewing estate plan documents, including wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and other legal documents.
- Legal Research and Administrative Hearings: Perform legal research, prepare for and participate in administrative hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys.
- Client Communication: Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
- Document Review and Analysis: Draft and review for accuracy documents such as wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and other legal documents.
- Client Issue Review: Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action.
- File Organization: Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
- Client Management: Manage clients through the completion of the estate planning process.
- Client Workshops: Ability to effectively present and conduct client workshops.
- Education: Possession of a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited school of law and qualification to practice in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Experience: At least two years of substantial involvement in the field of Estate Planning.
- Elder Law and Medicaid Experience: Elder Law and Medicaid experience preferred but not required.
- Bar Association Membership: Membership in the Pennsylvania Bar Association in good standing.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the capability to address issues innovatively.
- Public Speaking: Public speaking.
