About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced laboratory technician to join our team. As a Senior Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting scientific analyses on physical evidence, including swabs, sexual assault kits, and other evidence items.
Key Responsibilities- Locate and identify physiological material during the examination of evidence
- Engage in administrative reviews for casework
- Ensure the integrity of evidence and chain-of-custody forms
- Compile data and paperwork to create a case file
- Participate in competency testing and proficiency testing programs
- Assist with training and stay up-to-date with emerging technological advances in forensic science
To be successful in this role, you will need a baccalaureate degree in a relevant field, such as criminalistics, forensic science, chemistry, biology, or a related field. You will also need at least one year of experience in criminalistics, forensic science, or analytic chemistry, or a satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.
