PowerBuilder Engineer

Job Overview:

Zolon Tech Inc. is looking for skilled PowerBuilder developers with over 5 years of experience to join our team. This role involves working on a critical application known as HiCAMS, which is essential for managing construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Engineering Application Services Department to enhance and maintain HiCAMS.
• Replace outdated software tools by coding and testing data windows to streamline processes.
• Implement bug fixes and functional improvements to ensure the application runs smoothly.
• Engage in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and quality assurance.
• Design and develop SharePoint and web-based solutions to support essential business processes in the transportation sector.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proficient in PowerBuilder (version PB10 or later).
• Strong SQL skills, with experience in any database platform.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience in a remote software development setting.
• Excellent analytical and technical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a self-motivated work ethic.
• Ability to work with custom base-classes.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of bridging the gap between business processes and IT applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in C# and Java development.
• Familiarity with coding stored procedures and triggers.
• Experience in a Visual Studio development environment.
• Data conversion experience.
