We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team in Ambulatory Care at University Hospitals. As an LPN, you will provide safe and efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and families, utilizing the nursing process to assist them in achieving optimal health status.
Key Responsibilities- Function in accordance with the professional standards of the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Complete and submit required documentation.
- Deliver effective relationship-based nursing care.
- Demonstrate technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
- Demonstrate clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
- Develop self and contribute to the professional practice of nursing.
- Display leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse program or currently enrolled in a nursing program.
- 2+ years of nursing experience (Level II only).
- Knowledge of LPN scope of practice according to the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
The LPN will be required to stand frequently, walk frequently, and sit rarely. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling will be required frequently, with a maximum weight of 50 pounds. Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling will be required occasionally.
Travel RequirementsTravel will be required 10% of the time.
