Job Summary:The Department of Health Policy & Management at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Research Faculty member to conduct research in health policy, with a focus on Medicaid policy. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of researchers to conduct rigorous policy analyses and report on those analyses to government officials and professional audiences.
Responsibilities:- Conduct research in health policy, with a focus on Medicaid policy
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of researchers to conduct rigorous policy analyses
- Report on research findings to government officials and professional audiences
- Develop and implement research projects, including designing studies, collecting and analyzing data, and interpreting results
- Collaborate with state policy makers to inform policy decisions
- Doctoral degree in public health, health policy, or public policy
- Related or terminal professional master's degree (e.g., MHA, MPH, JD) plus 10 or more years of professional experience in policy development, implementation, or analysis
- Training in health policy, health economics, health services research, public administration, or public health
- Expertise leading innovative research using health services research methods focused on advancing public health and health policy
- Commitment to advance the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in public health
- Experience working in a collaborative research environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with quantitative or qualitative methods in applied policy work
