Radiologic Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at i-Health Inc. in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality x-rays on designated portions of the body for physician use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury.
  • Prepare and inform patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Radiology files, including internal and external films.
  • Prepare, clean, and stock work areas with necessary supplies.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain necessary precautions to minimize exposure to radiation.
  • Supply patients with x-rays as requested by surgeons.
  • Prioritize and provide care based on individualized plans of care, adapting to staffing needs and assigned duties.
  • Provide timely, efficient, and safe care, demonstrating knowledge of special needs for various age groups.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to maximize patient outcomes and ensure a smooth surgical experience.
  • Apply principles of aseptic technique, standard, and transmission precautions.
  • Perform tasks in a timely manner to avoid delays within the department, seeking assistance as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with department managers, informing them of unit activity, patient condition, and personnel concerns.
  • Report occurrences through the center's established reporting process.
  • Foster the developmental and educational process of self, colleagues, orientees, and students, serving as a preceptor.
  • Participate in continuing education, promoting career and skill development.
  • Assist in managing controllable costs by using Surgery Center resources efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology Program.
  • ARRT Certification in radiology required.
  • Previous radiology experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification or completed upon hire.
Essential Requirements:
  • Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines.
  • Complete job-required training.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance.
  • Work in the clinic, office, or surgery center during business hours.
  • Travel independently throughout the clinic, office, or surgery center.
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate and interact respectfully and professionally.
  • Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet daily operations expectations.
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Understand and execute a variety of instructions.
  • Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Travel to other work locations, if required.
