We are looking for Communication Specialists who are passionate about celebrating the diverse experiences and cultures of our students and their families; educators who are eager to contribute to a dynamic school community; and, educators who ensure equitable access to instruction by addressing socio-emotional needs, promoting literacy development across all subjects, employing culturally responsive teaching methods, and accommodating individual learning differences.
Responsibilities of the Communication Specialist:
Deliver direct speech and language services to students with disabilities who meet the eligibility criteria set by federal and state regulations.
Develop lesson plans and resources to assist students with speech and language requirements in both classroom settings and during direct therapy sessions.
Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure the effective implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and speech and language objectives across all educational settings.Provide legally compliant delivery of services, supports, accommodations, and modifications as outlined in students' IEPs.
Gather data on and track individual student progress, adjusting instruction and support as needed to ensure advancement toward IEP goals.
Oversee timelines, engage with parents and staff, and complete all necessary documentation, forms, and reports.

A Master's Degree.
A valid California Speech Language Pathology Services Credential, Clinical Rehabilitation Credential, or California Speech Language Pathology License.
