Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Respond promptly to work orders and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Identify and report the need for minor and major facilities repairs, including equipment maintenance and replacement.
- Ensure that equipment is operating within manufacturer specifications and make adjustments as needed.
- Read and apply diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications to complete work assignments.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building components, including physical, structural, and mechanical equipment.
- Read and follow directions and labels on chemicals and materials used in plumbing work.
- Assist with all phases of plumbing, including pipe laying, leaky faucet repair, and water line breaks.
- Work in confined spaces and climb ladders to perform duties related to work assignments.
- Operate forklifts and aerial lifts as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including Title IX and Information Security.
- 3 years of commercial or residential plumbing experience desired.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Valid NC Driver's license required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups through oral and written channels.
- Knowledge of power tools, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Comprehensive computer skills, with the ability to learn and utilize new and emerging technology.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy, and discretion in dealing with university officials and the public.
- Work independently and function effectively in a team environment.
- Exercise good judgment in complex situations.
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to work in a changing environment.
- Ability to work past regular working hours and occasional weekends.
