As a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Airway Management, you will be integral to the healthcare team, particularly in managing airways during ECT procedures. Your role encompasses:

  • Efficient airway management, including assessment of the patient's airway condition and thorough documentation of services provided.
  • Effective communication within the department and collaboration with colleagues, upholding professionalism and leadership standards.
  • Ensuring that patient reports are accurate and up-to-date, facilitating safe transitions during handoffs.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Completion of an accredited Respiratory Care program and possession of a valid license in Connecticut. NBRC Registration is mandatory.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years in critical care settings, demonstrating competency in Charge assignments and experience in Pediatric critical care.

LICENSURE: Current CT RCP License, NBRC RRT certification required. ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications are also necessary.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Expertise in respiratory care technologies, excellent communication abilities, capacity to perform under pressure, and strong interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time role with 12-hour shifts scheduled from 7pm to 7am, including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
