Position Summary:
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant who is adept at in-office procedures, possesses a solid understanding of medical terminology, and is capable of managing a busy patient flow. Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to patient inquiries
- Measuring and recording vital signs
- Securing necessary authorizations
- Coordinating diagnostic tests and surgical appointments
- Preparing examination rooms
- Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring proper consent and adherence to scope of practice
- Processing prescription requests
- Maintaining cleanliness and sterilization of instruments in compliance with health guidelines
- Providing a brief overview of each patient’s needs prior to the physician's examination
Qualifications:
- At least one year of hands-on experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures.
- Proficient in medical terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Professional interaction with patients, physicians, and team members is essential.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
