Job Summary:

As a Clinical Dietitian with Adventist Health, you will provide comprehensive nutritional care to patients and residents with special needs or those at nutritional risk. Your expertise will include patient assessment and reassessment, patient and family education, interdisciplinary communication, and development of nutritional plans of care. You will also be responsible for documenting all interventions in accordance with policy and acceptable practice standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing nutritional assessments of patients to determine those at nutritional risk.
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans of care to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on nutrition-related topics.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Document all interventions and patient progress in accordance with policy and practice standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition or equivalent.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification within 6 months of completion of residency program.
  • Preferred: Master's degree, experience as a clinical dietitian, and dietetic internship or equivalent.
