Job Description

The Opportunity:

St. Luke's North Hospital is seeking skilled nurses with experience in caring for patients with higher acuity needs to join our Interventional Radiology team. As an IR Nurse, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in your career, gaining experience in new procedures and treatments. This role is a vital part of our team, providing pre-intra-post procedural nursing care for our patients.

Shift Details:

This is a part-time position with 10-hour shifts, alternating between 3 and 4 days a week. You will be required to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care
  • Perform moderate sedation as needed
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to ensure efficient care
  • Demonstrate increasing discriminatory judgment in interpreting data and prioritizing tasks
  • Initiate actions to improve nursing practice, patient care, and unit processes
  • Serve as a day-to-day resource to colleagues at the unit and departmental levels
  • Provide positive formal or informal leadership within the unit and hospital
  • Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams consisting of Interventional Radiologists, Anesthesiology, Specialty Service providers, and nursing peers

Requirements:

  • Less than 1 year of experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Registered Nurse licensure
