Executive Housekeeper

The Executive Housekeeper at VP Management's Hazard KY Hotel is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of all guest rooms and public areas. This individual will manage a team of housekeeping staff and ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience for guests. The Executive Housekeeper will report directly to the General Manager and work full-time in a fast-paced hospitality industry.
Responsibilities- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise a team of housekeeping staff
- Set and maintain high standards of cleanliness for guest rooms and public areas
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures and checklists
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Inspect rooms and public areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and address any issues
- Handle and resolve guest complaints and concerns in a timely manner
- Organize and schedule deep cleaning and maintenance projects
- Ensure compliance with all hotel cleaning and safety standards
- Manage department budget and expenses
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
- Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions
- Collaborate with management team to implement new policies and procedures
- Ensure housekeeping staff adhere to all EEOC guidelines and regulations
- At least 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel setting
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding of budget management and inventory control
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
