Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Industrial Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance activities at our Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory site. The selected candidate will work under general supervision to lead, direct, and perform maintenance on facility vehicles, including excavators, telehandlers, engines, transmissions, and other equipment.

Responsibilities will include responding to trouble calls related to immediate issues to maintain continuity of operations, identifying and developing improvements to existing facilities or methods of operation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a combination of knowledge and skill, including:

  • A high school or vocational school graduate with the ability to read, write, and perform general mathematics
  • Completion of a state-accredited skilled trades program or a state-approved certified apprenticeship program resulting in qualification as a Journeyman
  • 4 years of experience in the field
