Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital is seeking a skilled Childbirth Educator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering educational programs to promote patient safety, quality care, and staff development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs to meet the needs of patients, families, and staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
- Design and deliver educational materials, including presentations, handouts, and online resources.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Master's degree in health education or a related field preferred.
- Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Experience in healthcare education or a related field.
