Pediatric Ophthalmology Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Ophthalmologist to join our team at a prestigious hospital in New York. As a member of our dynamic medical staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and success of our ophthalmology department.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will enjoy a highly competitive salary, with an estimated annual compensation ranging from $340K to over $400K based on experience and productivity. In addition to a generous base salary, we offer a range of benefits and incentives, including:

About the Role

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive eye exams and diagnosing and treating eye disorders
  • Performing surgical procedures, including cataract surgery and strabismus correction
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participating in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest advances in pediatric ophthalmology
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in pediatric ophthalmology
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in New York State
  • Experience working with pediatric patients and their families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
