About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer II to join our Test Equipment Engineering organization at Raytheon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex test environment systems for all Raytheon products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and plan mechanical test systems in areas including vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical for production testing environments
  • Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements
  • Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions
Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience
  • Two (2) years of technical / engineering experience in mechanical design and/or production support
  • Two (2) years of experience with CAD solid modeling tools
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Design experience using Creo with mechanical and electronic packaging
  • Creo Schematic and cable design experience
  • Experience with Configuration Management processes, application, and tools (e.g., Windchill / cPDM)
  • Experience in mechanical sub-systems packaging, materials, thermal analysis, structural analysis, control systems, electrical hardware design, or large assembly development
  • Experience with environmental stress screening of hardware (e.g., vibration, shock, thermal, etc.)
  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance analysis
