  • Develop and maintain accurate medical records, including immunizations, physical examinations, and medical conditions.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to identify, evaluate, and place students in special education programs.
Requirements:
  • Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a school nurse endorsement.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois.
  • Current First Aid program completion.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation program completion.
  • Illinois Certification as a Vision and Hearing Screening technician.
  • Computer literacy and competency in the use of existing technology.
  • Prior professional nursing experience, preferably in pediatric, adolescent, community, and mental health nursing, and health management.
Working Conditions:

The Certified School Nurse will work in a fast-paced school environment, interacting with students, staff, and parents. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
