Position Overview:

As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare team, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. Your expertise will be vital in preparing and dispensing pharmaceuticals in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and process written prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and safety in medication dispensing.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient medication records, monitoring for potential drug interactions and allergies.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify medication orders and provide drug-related information.
  • Utilize automated systems to manage pharmaceutical data and enhance dispensing efficiency.
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation of medications to maintain accountability.
  • Oversee the storage and security of pharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Prepare intravenous solutions and other specialized medications using aseptic techniques.
  • Educate patients on medication usage and potential side effects.
  • Participate in training programs for pharmacy interns and healthcare staff.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of one year in a pharmacist role.

Education: Bachelor’s or Doctorate in Pharmacy required, with residency training preferred.

Licenses: Valid New York State Pharmacist license is mandatory.
