The Paul C. Gaffney Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly qualified Regional Medical Director to lead our team in providing exceptional patient care and medical education.
This leadership position will provide administrative oversight and serve as a liaison between UPMC community pediatric units and UPMC Children's Hospital leadership, promoting the development of an integrated continuum of care.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric hospital medicine, with experience in clinical and administrative leadership. They will be responsible for providing direct care, teaching pediatric hospital medicine fellows and residents, and contributing to the division's academic pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative oversight and leadership to the division
- Serve as a liaison between UPMC community pediatric units and UPMC Children's Hospital leadership
- Lead collaborative efforts with clinical and administrative leadership to set strategy and future direction for the UPMC community units
- Provide direct care and teach pediatric hospital medicine fellows and residents
- Contribute to the division's academic pursuits
- Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics
- Board Certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine or Board-Eligible for the Pediatric Hospital Medicine subspeciality board-certifying exam through either the practice pathway or fellowship pathway
- Qualified for a medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
