Job Summary

As a Caregiver Assistant with Right at Home, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch care and support to our clients in their own homes. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients.


Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Right at Home's policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of care and service.
  • Work under the supervision of the Staffing Coordinator/Operations Manager, receiving guidance and support as needed.
  • Perform various homemaking tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Vacuuming, dusting, and sweeping or mopping floors
    • Doing dishes, changing bed linens, and laundry
    • Cleaning bathrooms and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment
  • Prepare meals and snacks for clients, following their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Provide companionship and social support to clients, engaging in activities such as:
    • Accompanying clients on walks or outings
    • Assisting with hobbies or interests
  • Document service provided, maintaining accurate records and communicating with supervisors as needed.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, feeding, and transferring clients, as required.

Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Successful completion of a written Competency Evaluation
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Sympathetic attitude towards caring for the sick and ability to handle the demands of the job

Working Conditions

Primarily works in clients' homes, with travel required as needed. Shift times and days vary to accommodate client needs.
