Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Tacoma, Washington. As a skilled nursing facility NP, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and develop long-term relationships with patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform primary care in a post-acute setting for short-term and long-term patients
  • Manage chronic disease, diagnose illnesses and medical conditions, and implement a plan of care
  • Order and interpret lab results, prescribe and monitor medications, and consult with physicians and coordinate patient care with other healthcare practitioners
  • Educate patients and their caregivers on coping skills to handle chronic and age-related conditions
  • Build relationships with patients, patients' family members, and facility staff to facilitate effective treatment delivery
Requirements
  • 6+ months experience in primary care (a plus)
  • Post-acute care experience (a plus, but not required)
  • Active and unrestricted Washington NP or PA license required
  • Active and unrestricted Washington DEA with prescriptive authority required
