About the Position
Emory Healthcare is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Labor & Delivery Triage team at Emory Decatur Hospital. This is a registry position that focuses exclusively on Labor & Delivery Triage, requiring prior experience in this specialty as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
This is an hourly registry position with a mix of day and night shifts, with 12-hour shifts available. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About the Team
The Labor & Delivery Triage team provides critical care services to patients experiencing complications during labor and delivery. As a key member of this team, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
About the Job Description
We are looking for an APP who can:
- Assess and treat patients in the Labor & Delivery Triage area.
- Document patient care in their medical records.
- Conduct patient interviews and document patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status, and medical problems.
- Under the direction of a physician, perform physical examinations and specialized diagnostic procedures.
About the Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body.
- Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.
- At least one year of direct experience in a high-acuity clinical specialty.
