Job Summary:
Kettering Health is a leading healthcare provider seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team in a retail pharmacy setting. As a Pharmacist at Kettering Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process, fill, and dispense prescriptions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide pharmaceutical information to the multidisciplinary healthcare team, including counseling patients and customers on prescription and over-the-counter medication use.
- Oversee all pharmacy inventory, record keeping, and accounting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and direct their workflow to ensure seamless operations.
- Comply with state and federal drug laws, KHN policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
- Active State of Ohio pharmacist license and three years of inpatient pharmacy experience or completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency program.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with patients, customers, and healthcare team members.
