Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator I to join our team at the County of Oconee. As an Equipment Operator I, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment, including dump trucks, skid-steer loaders, and backhoes. You will also be responsible for performing daily maintenance inspections on equipment and vehicles, and for operating light equipment such as mowing tractors and mini-excavators.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including dump trucks, skid-steer loaders, and backhoes
* Perform daily maintenance inspections on equipment and vehicles
* Operate light equipment, such as mowing tractors and mini-excavators
* Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment
* Valid SC commercial driver's license with appropriate endorsements
* Valid DOT health card for commercial driver's license
Working Conditions:
* Work in a variety of environments, including outdoors and in inclement weather
* Work at heights and in confined spaces
* Exposure to noise, odors, and extreme temperatures
