Job Overview
As a vital member of the accounting team, you will engage in a range of fundamental accounting tasks that contribute to the efficient operation of the Department/Bureau. Your role will involve:

Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting staff with financial inquiries that impact departmental operations.
- Supporting the upkeep of accounting systems, including books, records, and ledgers, utilizing various software tools.
- Generating routine financial reports, spreadsheets, revenue and cost forecasts, budget evaluations, and proposals.
- Working under direct supervision to facilitate essential accounting functions.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or a High School Diploma/GED with four years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

Required Documentation:
Candidates selected for further consideration will need to provide original documentation, such as a current driver's license, diploma, or transcripts, within five days of receiving a written offer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in preparing financial and accounting records.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
- Understanding of legal regulations and policies affecting auditing and reporting.
- Ability to identify discrepancies in accounting records and communicate critical financial information effectively.

Physical Requirements:
This position involves sedentary work, requiring minimal physical exertion, primarily sitting, with occasional walking or standing.
