As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our customers. You will work closely with our pharmacists to assist with prescription filling, patient counseling, and other pharmacy-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists with prescription filling, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs
- Verify medication accuracy and check for possible interactions
- Process prescriptions, including entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Develop strong relationships with customers and healthcare providers
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
- Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens
- Prefer good math skills and computer skills
