About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Professional Development Specialist to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our nursing administration, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and directing educational activities within our nursing departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based educational programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of our nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify education needs and develop targeted training initiatives.
  • Ensure that our nursing staff has the necessary competencies to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote a culture of excellence in nursing practice.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
  • Three (3) years prior acute care experience and demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Illinois/Iowa.
  • BCLS, ACLS, PALS or NRP certification.
  • Ability to become BCLS/ACLS/PALS instructor certified within first year of service.
