Our team is comprised of skilled and dedicated healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a highly qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for practicing medicine with physician supervision, conducting examinations, and writing prescriptions. They will also collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients, assess patient status by obtaining health history, order/perform laboratory diagnostic and other screening tests, treat illnesses, give injections, suture wounds, monitor therapies, and provide continuity of care. Additionally, they will counsel patient/family on preventive health care, participate in peer reviews, chart reviews, staff education, clinical guideline development, and other continuing education activities.

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a license and active registration as a physician assistant or registered nurse/nurse practitioner in New York State. For Physician Assistants, this requires a bachelor's or equivalent degree in physician assistant studies, completion of a physician assistant training program approved by the NYS Department of Education or accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, attainment of a passing grade on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination, current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, at least one year of experience as a physician assistant in ambulatory healthcare, and current CPR certification. For Nurse Practitioners, this requires successful completion of a nurse practitioner education program acceptable to NYSED, current certification as a nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board or the American Nurses Credentialing Center, successful completion of pharmacology coursework acceptable to NYSED, three years of professional nursing experience in an ambulatory setting preferred, at least one year of experience as a nurse practitioner in ambulatory healthcare, and current CPR certification.
