About this Role

As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obstetric nursing and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care to expectant mothers.

Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assess progress during labor, and assist with pain management techniques.

Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized birth plans and interventions.

Assist with childbirth, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures.

Educate and support mothers and their families during the postpartum period, providing breastfeeding assistance, newborn care instruction, and emotional support for the transition to parenthood.

Required Qualifications

Current RN license

BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)

Two years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.

Strong communication and adaptability skills.
