A leading testing laboratory is in search of a dedicated Lab Chemist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing, managing, and validating all testing services, contributing to the laboratory's growth in the metals testing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with ISO laboratory standards.
- Draft and validate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for metals testing, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Support the Technical Director in preparing the laboratory for accreditation assessments and future audits, including implementing corrective actions as directed by the Quality Assurance manager.
- Enhance all metals testing services across various analytical instruments.
- Conduct final reviews of all technical data related to metals before distribution to clients.
- Participate in the improvement, validation, and transfer of new analytical methodologies.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of analytical instrumentation, including:
- ICP-OES
- ICP-MS
- XRF
- Experience with Spectro Analytical equipment is highly desirable.
- Electroplating
- Titrimetry
- Gravimetric Methods
- Ion Exchange Separations
- Solvent Extraction
The candidate must have a minimum of three years of management experience in a regulated QA/QC laboratory setting. The ability to implement and adhere to upper management policies and objectives is critical for maintaining the laboratory's status as a premier facility in the industry.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science in Chemistry is required; a Master’s Degree in Science (MS) in analytical chemistry or a related field is preferred.
- At least five years of experience in laboratory testing, particularly in method development and validation within both wet and instrumental chemistry.
