Job Summary

As a CDL B Local Delivery Driver at Sysco, you will be responsible for delivering products to customers in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver products to customers in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all products are delivered in good condition.
  • Operate a straight truck in a variety of traffic and weather conditions, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Load and unload products from the truck, using hand trucks and other equipment as needed.
  • Verify delivery of products with customers and obtain signatures as required.
  • Communicate with customers and management regarding any issues or concerns.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck to ensure that it is in good working condition.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • One year of route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License - Class B (Class A preferred).
  • Ability to read and understand English required.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent lifting of products up to 50 lbs. during the shift, infrequent lifting to 80 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb on and off the box of the truck.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling required.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces.
