Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at The University of Oklahoma. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties involving general facilities maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair to facilities under minimal supervision in areas such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, swimming pools, food service equipment, landscape, paint, carpentry, and refuse/recycling.
  • Clean the work area and identify emergency repairs beyond your skill level to summon on-call assistance using defined procedures.
  • Perform minor equipment repair and complete required forms and logs.
  • Operate small hand tools and power equipment to perform various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
