NDT Inspector

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled NDT Inspector to join our team at BWX Technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing NDT inspections in various methods, including visual inspection, dye penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, ultrasonic testing, and radiography.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform NDT inspections in accordance with approved procedures and standards.
  • Verify weld fit-ups using basic gages and equipment.
  • Work closely with NDT Engineering, Weld Engineering, Welders, and Quality Engineering to ensure high-quality welds and materials.
  • Assist others in the use of equipment, processes, and procedures.
  • Complete and maintain all documentation as directed by work instructions and policies.
  • Report non-conformances on proper documentation and logs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalence.
  • 2 years' minimum NDT inspection experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operational sketches.
  • Meet required vision standards.
  • Experience using micrometers and other gages required by work instructions.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation of procedures.
