Ryder System is currently hiring a Master Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet in Akron, OH. This is a permanent full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and advance your career in the field of heavy-duty vehicle maintenance.

The estimated salary for this role is $1260 per week, or $33.50 per hour. Job Responsibilities:

As a Master Level Diesel Technician at Ryder System, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of trucks. Your duties will include:

  • Performing standard vehicle maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, brake work, and tire checks
  • Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers and software
  • Interacting with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and resolve issues efficiently
  • Instructing and advising other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
  • Coaching and mentoring junior technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications (preferred)
  • Basic tools, required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Four years or more relevant work experience (preferred)
  • A valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
  • All other certification as required by location (required)
