Job Summary: Brighton Central Schools is seeking a reliable and energetic Paraprofessional Substitute to fill-in for teacher aides or teaching assistants while they are out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lift, carry, pull up to 60 lbs.
- Be outdoors for up to an hour year around in potentially inclement weather
- Be on your feet and supervising consistently for up to an hour
- Be able to run and keep up with a child
- With training, operate a copier and complete classroom cutting and clerical tasks
- Speak and communicate clearly with children
- Be able to sit and get up from the floor or low seated position
- Be part of a P.E. class and be able to support sport activities
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience working with school aged children
- or
- 1 year of clerical experience
- or
- 30 hours of successfully completed college credits
