As a Patient Care Technician at Deaconess, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with traumatic injuries and/or surgeries. Under the supervision of the RN, you will perform various care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide basic life support principles and assist professional staff as needed
- Communicate pertinent findings or observations to the RN
- Assist with patient care and comfort
- Coordinate unit equipment and activities
Our Level II Trauma Center is a 44-bed unit that provides care to a wide variety of patients. We are recognized for our engaged Healthy Work Environment, Unit Based Council, and motivated nursing management team. Our staff prides themselves on excellent teamwork and dedication to high-quality patient care.
Requirements- Basic Life Support: Health Care Provider, within six months of hire
- Completion of a high school education or equivalent (GED) preferred
- Successfully complete PCT classes as required by care center/unit
