Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned HVAC engineer with expertise in designing and procuring plant HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in preparing technical reports, studies, and design documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and procure plant HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with applicable design requirements and nuclear safety standards.
  • Prepare technical reports, studies, and design documentation, including ventilation and instrument diagrams (V&IDs) and equipment data sheets.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and the client to develop design solutions.
  • Procure equipment in accordance with applicable QA requirements.
  • Develop and revise ventilation and instrument diagrams, formal calculations, and equipment datasheets and specifications.
  • Support associated safety analyses and hazards evaluations.
Requirements:
  • BS degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college, or 15 years of related experience.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must be able to obtain a site security badge for access to the work site.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with vendors on procurement of equipment.
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering examination.
  • Experience with Trane TRACETM 700 and VariTraneTM Duct Designer software.
