Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Teacher to join our team at the Indian Creek Correctional Center. As an HVAC Teacher, you will be responsible for providing effective Career and Technical Education Instruction in the assigned trade area, assisting students to complete the required competencies for that trade area, and ensuring that the lab is operated in compliance with all aspects of safety management.

Responsibilities
  • Provide effective Career and Technical Education Instruction in the assigned trade area
  • Assist students to complete the required competencies for that trade area
  • Demonstrate effective classroom or lab management
  • Ensure that the lab is operated in compliance with all aspects of safety management
  • Maintain accurate and current student records for assigned students
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years' full-time or 2000 hours of verifiable experience in the last 5 years in the relevant field/trade area for a teaching certificate
  • Knowledge of all phases of the trade area
  • Ability to supervise adult students in a classroom/lab environment
  • Eligibility for a Journeyman or Master Electrician License or a Technical Professional License in Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning or Technical Professional License in the relevant trade area/field issued by DPOR
  • Eligibility for a teaching certificate by the Department of Education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years of experience in the related trade/field
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician License or a Technical Professional License in Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning or Technical Professional License in the relevant trade area/field issued by DPOR
  • Teaching certificate by the Department of Education
  • Knowledge of all phases of the trade area
  • Ability to supervise adult inmates in a classroom/lab environment in a correctional facility
  • Knowledge and experience in correctional education classroom management
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $59,625 - $83,621 and a comprehensive benefits package.
