Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled RAN Virtualization Engineer with expertise in ORAN and vRAN technologies to join our team at First Point Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Wireshark for packet analysis and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate proficiency in virtualization platforms and cloud solutions, particularly VMware.
- Engage in scripting using languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL to automate testing processes.
- Possess experience with Mavenir and/or Samsung RAN environments.
- Oversee the configuration, deployment, and testing of Distributed Units (DU).
- Conduct validation of RAN and core network management systems, focusing on configuration, performance, and fault management.
- Perform thorough validation of critical feature sets, including peak and sustained throughput, latency validation, and end-to-end performance optimization.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of proven experience in testing and validation of wireless communication systems, with a focus on ORAN or similar technologies.
- A strong understanding of ORAN/vRAN architecture, protocols, and interfaces, including O-RAN Alliance specifications.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
